Rotating Plant Stand Finished

March 17, 2012

I’ve finally finished the rotating plant stand.  The stand does one complete revolution in two days. Here is a list of the components I used.

1. Arduino

2. SN754410 H-Bridge

3. Stepper motor

4. Various pieces of wood

5. Rollers salvaged from an old cassette mechanism

6. 2 plastic gears from old VHS player

6. 9 Volt Wall Adapter

7. Quarter size proto board

Some thing I would like to do in a future version are: 1. Use different motor that uses less energy, 2. Make Arduino sleep to save energy, 3. Add LED as an ON indicator, 4. Add an on/off switch, 5. Add bigger beefier rollers.

Arduino code , or on Github.
